Max and Charlie
Max lived on the streets of East
New York, Brooklyn his entire
life. When rescued by SNIP he
was approximately 12 years of
age and had endured much
suffering. Max has been at a
Pennsylvania sanctuary since
May, 2005.
Charlie was surrendered to a high
kill municipal shelter in August,
2005 by his owner, because the
dog was old. Charlie was
scheduled for euthanasia and
SNIP came to his rescue. Charlie
lived his final days in comfort at a
Pennsylvania sanctuary with his
friend Max. SNIP gave Charlie
what his owner failed to give his
loyal companion, diginity and
respect. Charlie died peacefully
in his sleep on May 6, 2007.
