A stray nursing mother and her puppies
called Mt. Zion Cemetary in Maspeth,
Queens their home.  The mother could
often be seen rummaging through garbage
seeking food and while many residents
were aware of the situation, none came
forward to help.

SNIP, the ASPCA and NYPD partnered
together to rescue both mother and
puppies.  SNIP arranged for acceptance to
a no-kill shelter in Connecticut.  Both
mother and puppies have been adopted.
